Claudia Major is the Head of the International Security Research Division at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). Her areas of expertise are the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), Defence and security policy / Armed forces, German defence and security policy and NATO. She is also active at the Advisory Board for Civilian Crisis Prevention of the Federal Foreign Office. Previously, she worked at the Center for Security studies in Zurich and the European Union Institute for Security Studies in Paris.
