I was living in the midst of the cold war in Russia in several city between 1-8 years mostly and need to say that our policy towards Russia is totally wrong. We have much more in common sense as history and social fabrics with Russian citizens then any other country outside Europe. Russia was never affraid about Europe but about America only and for good reasons as we know ! Because after WWII about 100.000.000 people lost their lives, houses and everything because of all written abouve. Russia even wanted to join EU and even NATO, declared by Putin himself in the German senate about 15 years ago. Russia was always a solid supplier of cheap oil and gas for Europe, but Russia was prevented access to global markets traditional belonging to the US. As we have seen the US foreign policy last 75 years it was just a flip-flop policy and about America first (with all respect) But as you know, as one like to be first in a one-way steamroller policy, others shall have less. Squeezing out potential competittors (the communist and socialist countries) has developed as a very dangerous idea which is in motion right now. Even internally splitted US relations are eveolved out of this. It is an attitude of paranoia & Greed indeed, the world dont need. The only thing we need are two-way debates about differences about ideologies and with respect for the counterparts-cultures, religions and problems they face. As we shall not manage proper debates at best at continental levels then we shall head towards more regional conflicts and allout wars ! Therefore, develop and support cooperation with any reasonable nation to improve the global situation. Because one day we need again working together to prosper lets say !
