Gelijn Molier

Professor at the department Encyclopedia at the School of Law of Leiden University

Dr. Gelijn Molier studied Dutch law, specialisation Public Law and further Public Administration from 1988-1994 at the faculty of Law of the State University of Groningen. From 1995-1999 he worked as a PhD for the department of International Law at the law faculty of the State University of Groningen. During the period 2000-2006 he worked as an assistant professor for the department of Jurisprudence at the same university. He gave courses on International law, Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence and Legal Skills. He also worked as an assistant professor for the faculty of law of Leiden University at the department of Jurisprudence and as an associate professor.

His main fields of research pertains to human rights, in particular freedom of speech, international law and the use of force, in particular humanitarian interventions, international legal theory and philosophy of law.
