PhD candidate at Utrecht University

Jorrit Steehouder is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University, where he works on a project about European cooperation and integration in the 1940s and 1950s. His focus is on the role of ideas and the way in which transnational networks of experts, policymakers, intellectuals, and politicians emerged as advocacy coalitions geared to restore the balance between social domestic and international economic policy. Before his PhD, Jorrit obtained his BA in History and graduated cum laude with an MA in the History of International Relations, both at Utrecht University.
