Vera Kranenburg

Junior Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute

Vera Kranenburg is a Junior Research Fellow at the Clingendael China Centre and the EU & Global Affairs Unit. Her work focuses on Chinese foreign and security policy, and European China policy. She has conducted research on high-tech in geopolitics, economic security and Dutch China policy. She is also an author of the Silk Road Headlines newsletter published by the Clingendael Institute.

Prior to joining Clingendael, Vera worked at the LeidenAsiaCentre and interned at the Mercator Institute for China Studies in Berlin. Vera holds a master’s degree in China Studies: Politics and International Relations from the Yenching Academy of Peking University. She previously graduated with a BA (Honours) in World Politics from Leiden University College and completed a minor focused on Asian Studies at Yale-NUS College in Singapore.
